Three Great Secrets for Kik Messenger

If you enjoy texting with your friends, but you do not want to pay the overage fees associated with different carriers, then you probably need Kik Messenger. This free instant messaging app allows you to connect with your friends in a free manner, without having to provide a phone number, without spending a dime, and without sharing the same country.

Kik Messenger is a great and easy to use app that has a ton of great features and options, and it gives us the opportunity to chat with anyone around the world completely free. The good thing is that this app is not limited to a certain mobile OS. It is available for Android, iOS, Blackberry and even Windows Phone.

And now, with the help of Bluestacks, the famous Android emulator, you can even install it on your computer. The whole process of downloading and installing Kik Messenger on PC is rather simple and easy. However, keep in mind that in order to use Kik for PC, you need to use Bluestacks to launch it.

If you are new to Kik or if you used it for a while now, but you still need to know its secrets, you have come to the right place. Kik messenger is more than a simple chatting app, a place where you can find your friends and talk to them. Kik is more than that, and here, I want to show you a couple of Kik’s secrets.

1. Read messages without Showing “R”

As you might already be aware of, Kik shows a couple of symbols for various actions. When you send a text, an “S” will appear, when the recipient received the text, an “R” appears and so on. Here, I want to discuss about the R. It is quite annoying when you write to someone, you see that the respective person has read the message, but he does not respond back. If you are the person that does not want to show whether the text has been read or not, here is what you need to do.

The first solution is to minimize the app, open App Switcher and check the screenshots. This will give you a clear view of the app and of the message, and you can read it without triggering the “R”. In the second alternative, you need to turn on airplane mode. Then open Kik app and read the message. Next, get out of the app and turn airplane mode back on. This will not show you have read the message.

2. Kik Logo in Messages

If by any chance you want to send the Kik logo to a friend, here is what you need to do. First open Kik and launch a conversation. Now, you will want to type in exactly without the quotation marks “(KIK)” in the text box. You will not see it change until you hit Send. Instead of sending (KIK), the recipient will receive the Kik Logo.

3. Fake Typing

The last trick I want to show you is the fake typing. If you want to trick someone that you are typing back a long message, here is what you need to do. Launch Kik app and tap on settings. Tap on Your account and select the name. Here, change the last name to “is typing…”.Now, whenever someone is chatting with your on Kik, they will think you are constantly typing. When you are tired of it, you can simply change your name back.
