The update also helps push forward the messaging app in the right direction.

Along with the “Pay for a Friend” feature, the update also brought a couple of interesting features such as new privacy settings for last seen, profile picture and status. Also, a new Camera shortcut for quicker picture sending was added, and as rumors suggest, Whatsapp also plans to add voice services to its users by the second quarter of 2015.
